Got the flooring down just in time for the arrival of the couches. Shaping up nicely now! Must get that door glazed..

Once the stair structure was primed and painted, the oak treads were fitted. The treads are cut from 40mm thick finger-jointed oak as this was the most cost effective way to get sufficiently stable material.

Stair - Structure

The single stair stringer is made up of twelve individual pieces of 200 x 100 x 12mm section. The brackets for the treads are of 125 x 75 x 8mm section. There was a considerable amount of cutting and welding involved!!
